Effective 5 November 2026
We want this site to work for everyone who is old enough to be here.
What we aim at
We aim at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, level AA. We are not claiming we have met every one of them. We are saying that is the standard we are measuring ourselves against.
What we have done
- Every page can be reached with a keyboard, and the first thing a keyboard finds is a link that skips the decoration and goes to the content.
- Photographs and the logo carry text descriptions. Decoration is marked as decoration so a screen reader passes over it.
- The site honours the reduced motion setting in your operating system. If you have it switched on, the scrolling animations, the growing logo, the rolling lemons and the moving film do not run, and the page becomes a plain scroll.
- The film has no sound and makes no claim that needs hearing.
- Text sizes are set so they grow when you zoom.
What we know is not right yet
We have not had an independent audit yet, so this list is our own and it is not complete.
- The small monospaced labels in the corners of the screen are set in a light grey. We have not measured their contrast against the background and we expect some of them fall short.
- The Frame Shop moves sideways as you scroll down. Every card is in the page and reachable with a keyboard, but the sideways movement is driven by vertical scrolling, which is an unusual pattern and we have not tested it with a screen reader.
- We have not tested the site with a screen reader end to end.
- With JavaScript switched off, the age gate stays on screen and the site cannot be read. That is deliberate, because the gate has to hold, but it means these policy pages are the only part of the site that works without JavaScript. They are built that way on purpose.
If something does not work
Write to hello@redframelemonade.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Tell us what you were using if you know: the browser, the device, the screen reader. We will answer within ten business days and we will tell you what we are going to do about it.
If you cannot use the site and you want to ask us something, email works for everything the site does. There is nothing on this site you can only get by using the site.
Third parties
The Frame Shop will be run on Fourthwall, and our social accounts are on Instagram and TikTok. Those are other companies' products and we do not control how accessible they are. If one of them blocks you from something we have published, tell us and we will find another way to get it to you.
